2012 NBA Draft: Nuggets Worked Out 2 Top-Rated Guards, Says John Hollinger's Draft Rater

The Denver Nuggets hold the No. 20 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, but they worked two of the top-rated guard prospects on Monday, at least according to John Hollinger's Draft Rater on ESPN. The model is designed to predict the Player Efficiency Rating (PER) for the rookie class each year, and this time around it bodes well for the Nuggets. Marquis Teague, Tyshawn Taylor and Will Barton all recently worked out for the team. As it turns out, Teague and Barton are two of the top-10 perimeter players in the draft, according to Hollinger's system.

Teague's projected 13.18 PER ranks ahead of Bradley Beal (11.65) and just behind Kendall Marshall (13.84), while Barton's 10.90 mark is very close to Harrison Barnes (11.11) and ahead of Jeremy Lamb (10.50).
