2012 NBA Mock Draft: DraftExpress Sees Damian Lillard Heading To New Orleans

Weber State point guard Damian Lillard heads to the New Orleans Hornets with the tenth overall pick in the latest mock draft from Jonathan Givony of Draft Express.com. At this point, Lillard has been tied to numerous teams in the lottery, but Givony has Lillard joining Anthony Davis in the Big Easy:

Jarrett Jack exceeded expectations for New Orleans this season, but may not be a long-term solution. He has only one year left on his contract, meaning a potential upgrade at point guard could be in order. Lillard would complement the likes of Davis and Eric Gordon extremely well.

The tenth overall pick was acquired by New Orleans as part of the deal that sent Chris Paul to L.A. last year. It's originally the Minnesota Timberwolves' pick, but now the Hornets will have the chance to acquire a second key building block this summer. Lillard could certainly qualify.
