The Denver Nuggets got excellent production from their first round pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, and the league has recognized the impressive feat. F Kenneth Faried played in 46 games with 39 starts in the 2011-2012 NBA Season, and he averaged an impressive 16.4 points and 12.2 rebounds per 36 minutes with the Nuggets. On Tuesday, he was named to the 2011-12 NBA All-Rookie First Team.
Faired played collegiately at Morehead State, and dominated his final season in the Ohio Valley Conference. As a senior, Faried averaged 17.3 points and 14.5 rebounds per game. The Nuggets then selected the 22-year-old with the 22nd overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.
