When the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers take the court on Saturday evening for the decisive Game 7 in this playoff series, Metta World Peace, suspended for the last seven games for throwing an elbow, will be able to play once again. And Kobe Bryant is sure happy to have that happen (via ESPN Los Angeles):
"He's the one guy that I can rely on night in and night out to compete and play hard and play with that sense of urgency and no fear," Bryant said of World Peace. "I'm looking forward to having that by my side again."
Might well have asked Kobe how he felt about his teammates. I mean, Andrew Bynum's comments about close-out games being easy came back to haunt him these last two games. But we'll just need to see how much time World Peace plays. Never know when he might throw another elbow.
