The Denver Nuggets are leading 54-45 at halftime against the Los Angeles Lakers as they hope to force a Game 7 on Thursday night at the Pepsi Center. The Nuggets are trailing 3-2 in the seven-game series, but they can send the series back to L.A. by winning this game.
After a hot start that saw Denver leading 13-0, the Nuggets have settled in and maintained a solid lead all half. The Lakers got as close as five points in the second quarter, but the Nuggets have responded to every Lakers run since building their initial lead.
Through one half, the Nuggets are shooting 51 percent from the field. While they're shooting a pathetic 2-for-5 from the free throw line so far, they've made up for it by shooting 8-for-11 from three-point range. The Lakers are shooting 42 percent from the field.
Ty Lawson leads the Nuggets with 19 points, including 4-for-4 shooting from long range. Kobe Bryant, despite dealing with a stomach bug, leads the Lakers with 19 points on 7-for-13 shooting.
