The Los Angeles Lakers staged a frightening comeback on their home court, but the Denver Nuggets were able to hold on and score a huge Game 5 victory in L.A. on Tuesday night. Denver's victory pushed the series to 3-2 and forced a Game 6 at the Pepsi Center on Thursday. The story remains the same for the Nuggets: win or go home for an extended summer vacation.
The Nuggets got stellar efforts from a pair of unexpected candidates in Game 5: point guard Andre Miller and center JaVale McGee, both of whom came off the bench. Miller finished with 24 points and eight assists, while McGee ended his night with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Game Date & Time: Thursday, May 9, 8:30 p.m. MT
Location: Pepsi Center; Denver, CO.
TV: Altitude, TNT
