The Denver Nuggets have lost two of their last three games, with both defeats coming to opponents outside of the Western Conference playoff picture. Last we saw the Nuggets, they were defeated 112-97 by the Warriors on Saturday night. On Monday, Denver gets a shot at revenge vs. Golden State, and so far, so good: after a quarter, the Nuggets lead 37-13 at the Pepsi Center.
Rookie forward Kenneth Faried has been everywhere for George Karl's team thus far. Faried has 11 points and five rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting as the first quarter ends. Small forward Danilo Gallinari and shooting guard Arron Afflalo have also played well, with Gallinari scoring eight and Afflalo scoring six points.
The Warriors are just 6-of-20 from the field thus far. Dorrel Wright has a team-high three points.
