2012 NBA Playoffs, Nuggets Vs. Lakers: Denver Struggles In 1st Quarter

The Denver Nuggets are going to have a long game against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of this 2012 NBA Playoffs series if the first quarter is any indication. They are losing, 27-14, after the first 12 minutes of play.

Denver is shooting just 25 percent (5-of-20) from the field, but they have received a strong start from Danilo Gallinari. Gallo has nine points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line.

The Lakers' starters haven't been heavily involved yet, as Steve Blake leads the team with nine points off the bench, all coming on three-pointers. Andrew Bynum has yet to score, but he has already grabbed five rebounds and blocked three shots.

The Nuggets have a tough road over the next three quarters to bounce back from this.
