Denver Nuggets Defeat The Minnesota Timberwolves 131-102: Will Face The Lakers In NBA Playoffs

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 131-102 in NBA action Thursday night at the Target Center. The Nuggets jumped out to a quick lead in the first half, before widening their margin with a surge in the second quarter. They scored 29 points in the first quarter before exploding for 32 in the second while holding the Timberwolves to only 17. The Nuggets held a late surge from the Timberwolves before closing out with a 29 point advantage.

The Nuggets had six players in double figure and were lead in scoring by Center Javale McGee with 19 points on 9-12 shooting. Center Kosta Koufos showed strength on the boards leading the Nuggets with 11 rebounds.

The Nuggets finished the season with four straight wins and are on their way to their ninth straight playoffs. They open on the road Sunday against the L.A. Lakers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. They have excelled on the road with a 17-15 record over their opponents.
