Nuggets Vs. Magic: Denver Outlasts Orlando, 104-101

The Denver Nuggets picked up just their fourth-ever road victory over the Orlando Magic with a 104-101 victory on Sunday evening. The Nuggets got off to an early start, but then had to hold on tightly over the final three quarters -- and that was without Dwight Howard on the court for the Magic.

The Nuggets held an eight-point lead after the first quarter, 27-19, but saw that slip to six points at halftime, 48-42. For a time in the third quarter the Magic held slight leads, but they never quite got over that hump during the fourth quarter.

Ty Lawson led the way with 25 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Arron Afflalo contributed 22 points as the only other starter with double-digit points. Al Harrington and Andre Miller were key off the bench with 18 and 15 points, respectively.

Jameer Nelson led the Magic with 27 points, joined by Ryan Anderson's 20 points. Glen Davis started in place of Dwight Howard and scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (nine offensive boards).

The Nuggets (29-24, 14-12 away) remain on the road for a Wednesday contest against the New Orleans Hornets.
