Nuggets Vs. Magic Preview: Denver Looks To Contain Dwight Howard

As the Denver Nuggets begin to make their final push for the playoffs in the league's last month, they'll face their fair share of cupcakes. Today's game vs. Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic, though, is not one of those games. George Karl's squad will take on one of the beasts of the East in between a feast of a few of the worst that the NBA has to offer, and it may be the best indication yet of the Nuggets' shot at making a run at the top half of the West.

The Magic are notably mercurial, and they'll enter the game on a two game losing streak after dropping tilts to the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, and they haven't beaten a team with a winning record since they took down the Miami Heat in overtime in mid-March. But Howard and the Magic are capable of beating any team, and Denver's young, revamped frontline will be tested inside and outside by Howard and power forward Ryan Anderson.

Game date/time: Sunday, April 1, 4:00 p.m. MT

Location: Amway Center, Orlando, Fla.

TV: NBA TV/Altitude

Odds: Orlando by 5
