The New Orleans Hornets continued to hold tight with the Denver Nuggets through the third quarter on Friday night, but the Nuggets started to pull away just a bit, taking an eight point lead into the fourth quarter. The Nuggets didn't tighten up their defense much at all, but their offense continued to be potent, putting up 29 points in frame.
Denver has been led by Arron Afflalo, who has tallied 26 points through three on 8-11 shooting from the field and 4-6 shooting from three. Only Al Harrington, who has scored 15 points, is in double figures for the Nuggets, but every player to enter the game for Denver has scored tonight, with the exception of Andre Miller. Harrington has also contributed eight rebounds, which has helped Denver take a solid rebounding edge over New Orleans after being outworked on the glass in the first quarter.
