It was a game of runs, and the Denver Nuggets just couldn't muster enough down the stretch to leave the Pepsi Center with a five-game win streak intact against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday evening.
Denver point guard Ty Lawson missed a potential game-winning layup in the waning seconds, as the blare of the final buzzer signaled an end to the six-game losing streak Cleveland brought into the night. Lawson struggled to keep command of the ball for most of the game, and finished with a game-high seven turnovers.
Sixth man Al Harrington paced the Nuggets with 22 points and eight rebounds despite being just 1-of-6 from the perimeter. Denver shot a mere 20% from behind the arc as a team in the loss, and will stay at home to play host to New Orleans on Friday.
