Nuggets G Rudy Fernandez underwent successful back surgery today during a procedure performed by Dr. Sanjay Jantana.
Fernandez, who is expected to be out for the remainder of the regular season, missed 12 games due to a lower back strain, and the injury flared up against Dallas on March 19, prompting further evaluation.

Fernandez played in just four games in the month of March. He averaged 8.6 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 31 games for Denver this season.
