The Denver Nuggets kept the pressure on the Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls on Monday night and now hold a 54-52 lead at halftime. The Nuggets outscored the Bulls in the second quarter, 29-25.
The Nuggets had a more balanced offensive attack in the second dozen minutes of the game. Ty Lawson took the team lead in points with 12 while Arron Afflalo stayed at 11. Al Harrington has scored 10 from the bench, six on two three-pointers. JaVale McGee has added six points and pulled down four rebounds.
Carlos Boozer leads the Bulls with 10 points while pulling down five rebounds. C.J. Watson, starting in place of Rose, has scored seven points and distributed the ball for seven assists. John Lucas has added eight points off the bench.
Both teams are hitting 50 percent or high on all shots from the field and from beyond the arc.
