The Denver Nuggets find themselves down by two points after one quarter of play against the Chicago Bulls, 27-25, on Monday night. The Nuggets used a 12-2 run during the late portion of the quarter to pull the game close and then eventually take a lead for a few ticks of the clock. However, the Bulls scored the last five points of the quarter to retake the lead, aided by an and-one on an Omer Asik hook shot with 50 seconds left on the clock.
Arron Afflalo led the Nuggets with 11 points while Ty Lawson scored eight. Al Harrington has the other six points on two three-pointers.
The Bulls have five scorers, led by C.J. Watson's seven points. Carlos Boozer is next with six points and has pulled down four boards.
