Nuggets Vs. Timberwolves Score Update: Denver Trails 33-20 After First Period

After one quarter on Sunday afternoon, the Denver Nuggets are trailing 33-20 against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a pretty weak offensive performance. Without suspended shooting guard Arron Afflalo, Denver just couldn't manage to get quality shots up against the Minnesota defense.

Generally one of the elite offensive teams in the NBA, the Nuggets certainly didn't look the part in the first quarter while shooting just 9-of-23 (39 percent) from the field. With the Timberwolves also taking the advantages on the boards and from the free throw line, Denver will have to get its offense going to get back ahead.

Wilson Chandler, JaVale McGee and Timofey Mozgov currently lead the Nuggets with four points apiece. Luke Ridnour has been on fire so far for Minnesota, leading the way with 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting, and Derrick Williams has added seven points himself.
