The Denver Nuggets pulled off a team-changing three-team deal just before Thursday's NBA trade deadline struck, sending long-time center Nene to the Washington Wizards. In return, the Nuggets received former Wizards center JaVale McGee and forward Ronny Turiaf. Today, we get word that the team has waived Turiaf.

Turiaf is currently out with a hand injury. The Gonzaga product has played just four games this year, averaging 1.5 points and three rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game.
McGee, the 24-year old 7-footer, should see his first bit of action in a Denver uniform on Monday when the Nuggets host the Dallas Mavericks.
