Nuggets Vs. Mavericks Score Update: Denver Trails By Nine Heading Into The Fourth

The Dallas Mavericks lead the Denver Nuggets 87-78 through three quarters tonight at the Pepsi Center. Each team entered on a three-game losing streak, and George Karl's crew will have some work to do in the fourth quarter to avoid dropping their fourth straight game.

Dallas has rode balanced scoring throughout, led by star power forward Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk has 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting to go along with five rebounds and three assists. Shooting guard Vince Carter has 15 points and seven assists for Dallas. Rodrique Beaubois has 13 points and two rebounds.

Six Denver players have alread reached double-figures in scoring. Nene leads the way with 15 points and seven rebounds through three quarters. Rudy Fernandez has 14 points off the bench, while Al Harrington (12 points) and Andre Miller (11 points) have also played well off the pine. Starting point guard Ty Lawson has 10 points and seven assists thus far.
