Nuggets Vs. Mavericks Score Update: Dallas Leads Short-Handed Denver Squad After One

Something has to give tonight at the Pepsi Center. The Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks each enter as losers of three straight, and through one quarter, it's Dallas that holds the 33-25 lead.

Seven Mavericks scored in the first, led by Delonte West's seven points. Rodrique Beaubois also added seven for the Mavericks off the bench. Shawn Marion had six points for Dallas, while teammates Vince Carter and Ian Mahinmi each scored five in the opening period.

Ty Lawson and Nene each have seven points for Denver. Andre Miller came off the bench to finish with five points, four assists, and two rebounds for the Nuggets in the quarter.
