Former Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups suffered a knee injury during the Los Angeles Clippers' win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night, and an MRI Tuesday revealed that Billups tore his ACL. He will miss the remainder of the season.
Unfortunately it also means Billups will not have an opportunity to play for the U.S. National Team in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Billups had been named one of 20 finalists for the team.
In 20 games played for the Clippers this season, Billups averaged 15 points and 4 rebounds per contest. He started 51 games for Denver during the 2010-11 season before being traded to the New York Knicks in the Carmelo Anthony deal.
