The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers played like two teams in need of a rest in the first half of their match up on Friday night, as the Lakers went into halftime with a 44-41 lead. Los Angeles snagged the first half lead despite Kobe Bryant shooting 2-10 from the field and the team shooting just 45% as a whole, including 0-6 from three.
But those numbers still bettered those of the Nuggets, who shot 41% from the field as a team in the first half, which included the team going 2-11 from three. Starters Danilo Gallinari and Nene were a combined 1-10 as a duo, though Denver did receive a solid half from Ty Lawson (10 points, 4-7 shooting) and Andre Miller (8 points, 3-3 shooting).
