NBA Standings 2012: Denver Nuggets On The Fringe Of No. 8 Seed In West

After the beginning of the season brought in so much optimism regarding the Denver Nuggets, things have gone all downhill as the Nuggets have plummeted down the Western Conference standings. Once sitting near the top of the league with a 14-5 record, the losses have been piling up for Denver since then.

With injuries taking a toll on the Nuggets, the wheels have really come off in the past month or so. After winning 14 of their first 19 games, the Nuggets have gone 4-12, essentially returning to a .500 record. After keeping up with the Oklahoma City Thunder early in the season, the Nuggets are now in third place in the Northwest standings, 9.5 games behind the Thunder.
