NBA Slam Dunk Contest 2012: Jeremy Evans Wins With 29% Of Vote

Jeremy Evans, an injury replacement for the New York Knicks' Iman Shumpert, won the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest with 29 percent of the vote. The Jazz forward involved Kevin Hart in a lackluster skit that involved Hart coming out to the court as a mailman. Jazz, Karl Malone, mailman -- yeah, we knew where this was instantly going. In the parcel Hart delivered was a Karl Malone jersey for Evans to win. He donned the uniform and then jumped over Hart for his final dunk of the night.

Evans' best dunk was probably this one:

Any time a player has to dunk two balls on one attempt, it ranks higher than all of the others. First, Evans needs to jump over his teammate who throws the ball in the air; then he needs to control both balls while in the air; and finally he needs to slam both of them home before he lands back on the ground.

The only way to beat that one would have been to dunk over a KIA while dunking two balls. We saw one ball over a KIA last year with Blake Griffin.
