The Denver Nuggets outlasted the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-101 in a wild, back-and-fourth game at the Pepsi Center on Monday night. The win wasn't without its consequences, though: starting point guard Ty Lawson left the game with a sprained left ankle after scoring 13 points in 16 minutes and did not return. The win moves Denver to 18-15, while Minnesota falls to 16-17.
Al Harrington was the leading man for the Nuggets tonight, finishing with 31 points and nine rebounds on 14-of-29 shooting from the field. Arron Afflalo chipped in 20 points and five rebounds, while teammate Corey Brewer finished with 12 points and eight rebounds in the win. Reserve guard Andre Miller also had an interesting night. Miller was ejected for technical fouls after arguing with the officials over a second half offensive foul. Miller was 0-for-8 from the field, but finished with 12 assists, six rebounds, and five points in the victory.
Kevin Love had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Minnesota. Michael Beasley scored 17 off the bench. Ricky Rubio had 16 poitns and five assists.
