The Denver Nuggets put themselves in position to score a comeback win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night with a strong third quarter that cut Memphis' lead to 10 as the teams entered the fourth quarter. Denver outscored the Grizzlies by 7 in the quarter, bringing what once looked like a blowout back into the realm of the reachable.
The Nuggets still got dominated on the glass in the quarter, but used a barrage of threes from current starting small forward Corey Brewer to begin their comeback attempt. Brewer, who hit five threes in the quarter, hit three total in less than a minute midway through the third, which brought Memphis' 20 point lead back down to 14.
