Nuggets Vs. Grizzlies: Sluggish Nuggets Down 60-43 At Half

The Denver Nuggets' attempt to shake themselves out of their prolonged slump got off on the wrong foot on Friday night, as they've been unable to dig themselves out an early first quarter hole. The Memphis Grizzlies jumped out to a 34-15 lead after the first quarter, and were able to maintain that margin, allowing them to head into the locker room up 60-43 at half.

The Nuggets shot a respectable 43% from the field in the first half, but were only 1-5 from three and were out-rebounded by Memphis by a margin of 28-17. Ty Lawson led Denver in the first, scoring eight points on 3-6 shooting to go along with three assists. But Lawson's plus-minus was -19 for the half, which was more or less matched by the entirety of the Nuggets line up, which has been dominated so far on Friday night.
