The Denver Nuggets entered their Wednesday night contest against the Dallas Mavericks leading the league in points per game at over 104 per contest. But after one half of play tonight at American Airlines Center, it's clear that Denver has been unable to find its offensive groove. Dallas leads the Nuggets 51-39 at halftime in a game characterized by poor shooting for Denver.
Denver finished the half 14-42 (33.3 percent) from the field. While Corey Brewer's six points leads all Nuggets starters, Rudy Fernandez provided a big lift for Denver in the second quarter. Fernandez finishes the half with a team-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, which included a pair of three-pointers. Al Harrington came off the bench to add seven points.
Lamar Odom leads Dallas with 10 points at the half. Four Dallas players have scored eight points, including star forward Dirk Nowitzki.
