NBA Standings 2012: Nuggets' 5-Game Skid Ends, But Oklahoma City Thunder Widen Gap Atop Northwest Division

The Denver Nuggets snapped a five-game losing streak on Saturday night by defeating the Indiana Pacers, 113-109, but it didn't make much of a dent in the Northwest division standings. The Nuggets trail the Oklahoma City Thunder by 5.5 games for the division lead.

Still, the Nuggets remain in second place for the time being. The Portland Trail Blazers are a game behind the Nuggets while the Utah Jazz are 1.5 games out of second place. Minnesota became the latest team to be on the wrong end of a Jeremy Lin performance, losing to the New York Knicks, 100-98.

If one is already playoff gazing, the Nuggets are currently the No. 6 team in the Western Conference. However, teams 4-8 are all within a game of each other. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Trail Blazers are the two teams behind the Nuggets in the playoff standings.
