The Denver Nuggets are out to improve its home record to 5-0 after a short two-game road trip. The Nuggets split it by defeating the New Orleans Hornets on Friday but then losing to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night. The Hornets will look to avenge Friday's loss when they visit the Pepsi Center on Monday night.
The Nuggets are hoping Nene makes it back to the lineup for this game, having missed three of the last four games. He played 24 minutes and scored six points against the Hornets while in the middle of dealing with his heel injury. Nene is still considered a game-time decision, but the Denver Post's Chris Dempsey tweets that Nene will attempt to play on Monday night.
The Nuggets need a second half comeback against the Hornets on Friday, playing flat to start the game. Danilo Gallinari led the effort with 23 points (he put up 31 against the Spurs) while Al Harrington and Andre Miller contributed 14 and 13 points, respectively, off the bench.
