The Denver Nuggets took a 12-point lead into halftime on Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, but a furious second half run by the Griz got the game to overtime, where Memphis would prevail 100-97 at FedEx Forum. The game was an offensive atrocity: the Grizzlies shot just 33-for-86 (38 percent) in the win, while Denver (35-for-80 for 43 percent) didn't fare much better. The loss drops the Nuggets to 14-7. Memphis improves to 11-10.
Five Grizzlies starters reached double-figures, led by Marc Gasol and Rudy Gay, who each finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds. O.J. Mayo came off the bench to give Memphis 18 points, while Tony Allen scored 17 on 6-of-14 shooting.
Both of Denver's leading scorers for the night were reserves. Al Harrington scored a game-high 23 points and added 10 rebounds and four assists for Denver in the loss. Andre Miller also made the most of his 39 minutes, finishing with 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists for the Nuggets.
