The Denver Nuggets will need center Nene to play in Saturday's game against the New York Knicks if they plan to come away with the victory. While the Knicks are on a five-game winning streak, Carmelo Anthony will surely want to be his old team. Nene's heel, though, has been an issue for several weeks and the Knicks would be able to take advantage of that if the center sits out the game. However, it appears that he will play against the Knicks, reports Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post.
Nene has missed four game already this season, including yesterday's victory over the Washington Wizards. Nene is averaging 13.5 points and 8.8 rebounds, both above his career averages. He'll surely want to play in this game, the team's only visit to Madison Square Garden and the place where his NBA career began in June 2002.
