Nuggets Vs. Knicks: Denver Looks To Send Sputtering New York To 6th Consecutive Loss

The Denver Nuggets get only one shot at Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks this season, and it comes at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. It's not quite what Nuggets fans were hoping for, but that's what happens with a lockout-shortened season.

The Nuggets enter this contest on a three-game winning streak, having won the first three games of this current road trip. The 11-5 Nuggets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by 10 points and then followed that with back-to-back 108-104 wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and the Washington Wizards (the former came in overtime).

Andre Miller and Al Harrington have been strong contributors off the bench this season. Miller led the Nuggets with 28 points and 10 assists against the Sixers while Harrington scored 29 points against the Wizards.

The Knicks, meanwhile, have hit a rough spot on the schedule with a five-game losing streak. The first two losses came on the road to the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the last three at home have been just as bad. On Friday night, the Bucks defeated the Knicks, 100-86, for its first road victory of the season. Carmelo Anthony, who has missed games due to injury this season, put 35 points on the board in the losing effort.
