The Denver Nuggets are playing some solid basketball so far this season, reaching 9-5 through the first several weeks of the shortened schedule. However, no one has played well enough to warrant inclusion in Tom Ziller's SB Nation NBA MVP Rankings thus far into the year.
Danilo Gallinari and Ty Lawson each average over 16 points per game, but those scoring numbers fall far short of where other players are at. Plus, they don't have double digit numbers in any other category.
But there are several players the Nuggets are familiar with that appear in the rankings. At No. 2, Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder makes his appearance. He is averaging 26 points and 6.8 rebounds this season. Kevin Love, who plays for the 5-8 Minnesota Timberwolves, checks in at No. 6. He's putting up 25.6 points and 14.3 rebounds.
