The Denver Nuggets could not keep up with Utah in the fourth quarter on Sunday night and the visiting Jazz, 106-96. Part of the reason for that was Paul Millsap, who caught fire in the fourth quarter and finished the game with 26 points on 12-19 shooting. He also grabbed 12 rebounds.
For the Nuggets, Nene Hilario and Danilo Gallinari had 18 points each; Arron Afflalo had 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds. The team lost Rudy Fernandez to an Achilles strain in the second quarter, and Chris Andersen suffered what appeared to be a minor injury in the second half.
The Nuggets, who'd won two in a row heading into Sunday, begin a five-game road trip in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
