Nuggets Vs. Heat Injury Report: Ty Lawson 'Pushing It, Taking Painkillers' To Play On Friday

Ty Lawson is determined to play on Friday night when the Denver Nuggets host the Miami Heat, and told The Denver Post after Friday's shoot around that he is "pushing it" and "taking painkillers" to get back on the court for the biggest home game of the year-to-date. Lawson has been terrific for the Nuggets as their starting point guard early in the 2011-12 NBA season, but missed Thursday's win over the New Jersey Nets with a right foot strain. Now Lawson says there is no way he would miss the action against LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Here is what he told The Denver Post:

"Yeah, I think so," he said. "I'm pushing it, taking painkillers. I'll be alright. I can do everything I want to do from jumping, pushing the ball and everything else in between."
