Ty Lawson Injury: Guard Hopes To Play Against Miami Heat On Friday

Lawson has been bothered by a foot injury since Monday.

Denver Nuggets starting point guard Ty Lawson injured his foot in the first half of the team's 94-81 loss to New Orleans on Monday, and while he was able to come back and play in the second half that night, he was held out of practice on Tuesday and did not play in the team's game against the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday.

Lawson hopes that is the only game he'll have to miss this week; he says the foot "feels a lot better" and he hopes to be available for Denver's game against the Miami Heat on Friday night.

If Lawson can't go, Andre Miller would likely get the nod in his place, as was the case Wednesday. Miller scored 12 points and dished out 12 assists against the Nets. Lawson is averaging 16.4 points and 6.0 assists per game this season.
