The NBA Draft is just a couple of days away, so ESPN turned to 14 players, each on a lottery team, to make a selection in a players-only mock draft. At No. 10, ESPN turned to Luc Mbah a Moute of the Milwaukee Bucks for the selection:
Alec Burks, Colorado G
"I like his natural ability to score at the 2 spot," forward Luc Mbah a Moute says of the 6-6 Burks, who scored 20.5 PPG last season. "He's going to be great behind John Salmons, by producing some scoring for a team that was last in the league last season [91.9 PPG]."
Maybe Mbah a Moute has been reading a number of mock drafts, because the Bucks have been the team Burks has been projected to since early May. It does appear to be a great fit. Burks still needs to work on his shooting to become an outstanding player in the NBA.
Chad Ford rates Burks as the No. 13 player in the draft and puts him in the fourth tier of players in this draft. The latter, according to Ford, means that Burks will a back-end lottery pick and could possibly fall out if it, depending on events.
The NBA Draft takes place on June 23.
