(VIDEO) Nuggets Mascot Rocky Goes Into Politics--For Special Team License Plates

Today's politically-charged atmosphere can often lead to many shaking heads, but on Friday, Avalanche mascot Bernie and Nuggets mascot Rocky went to the Colorado Senate to testify on behalf of a bill put forth by the Transportation Committee. As the Denver Post explains, the two mascots were there in support of a bill that would issue Avalanche and Nuggets license plates, with a $45 donation going to charity for each one purchased.

Here's a scene from the appearance:

Rocky is begging profusely to be called to testify and then is put on the spot when he is informed that his usual acts at the Pepsi Center will be performed outside of the room after the day's hearing. He has his eye on Sen. Mark Johnston for that.

The bill passed, so if you want to show off your Avalanche or Nuggets pride and want to contribute to charity, think about getting one of these.
