Though there are still almost two months left in the 2011 NBA Playoffs, the NBA Draft season is heating up as the lottery is determined on May 17. SB Nation has its latest 2011 NBA mock draft--well, just the lottery selection again. Duke point guard Kyrie Irving is still the No. 1 overall pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Arizona forward Derrick Williams could be a challenger.
Colorado Buffaloes guard Alec Burks is nowhere to be found in SB Nation's lottery mock draft, but he is a top-10 selection in both DraftExpress' and NBADraft.net's mocks. In the former, Burks goes 10th overall to the Milwaukee Bucks and No. 9 to the Charlotte Bobcats in the latter.
As for who the Denver Nuggets might select, both of those mocks go with big men up front. DraftExpress predicts Lucas Nogueira, an 18-year-old center from Brazil. At 6-foot-11, 225 pounds, Nogueira could bulk up some. NBADraft.net sees Maryland's Jordan Williams as the pick there. The Nuggets could use help up front as Nene is likely to opt out of the final year of his contract, and Kenyon Martin is a free agent.
Just like the NFL Draft, let months of wild speculation begin for the NBA Draft.
