Chad Ford 2011 NBA Mock Draft Places Alec Burks To Suns, Tobias Harris To Nuggets

When we last saw a mock draft from ESPN's Chad Ford, Tennessee freshman Tobias Harris was the Denver Nuggets' selection at No. 22. In Ford's latest mock, nothing changes for the Nuggets as Tobias is the selection again, but let's take a look at who could be around at that pick.

One pick ahead of the Nuggets at No. 21, the Portland Trail Blazers take Morehead State's Kenneth Faried, a defensive specialist who could help the Nuggets with the likely exits of Kenyon Martin and Nene. One pick after the Nuggets, the Houston Rockies selected Boston College point guard Reggie Jackson, a Colorado Springs native. He could give the Nuggets three quality point guards.

Colorado Buffaloes shooting guard Alec Burks, though, does slip a little in the lottery. Previously, Chad Ford had him going to the Milwaukee Bucks, like most mock drafts, but this time Burks falls to the Phoenix Suns at No. 13. This happens because Texas' Tristan Thompson slides to the Bucks, and the Golden State Warriors and the Utah Jazz take front court and defensive help. This leaves Alec Burks for the Suns, who could rebuild around him.
