The Denver Nuggets pulled out a 104-96 road victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. J.R. Smith led the Nuggets with 23 points, being part of five players who scored at least 10 points. Kenyon Martin added 18 points, pulled down six boards and had three steals.
Nene had a big night around the glass, grabbing 15 points and adding nine points. With Arron Afflalo out, Wilson Chandler started and scored 16 points. Danilo Gallinari added 10 points. Off the bench, Raymond Felton put up nine points, dished the ball out for six assists and stole the ball four times.
The Mavericks were without Jason Kidd and Tyson Chandler for the game. Shawn Marion finished with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points, while Brendan Haywood finished with one point and 19 rebounds. Jason Terry, Corey Brewer and Jose Juan Barea combined for 40 points off the bench.
The Nuggets (48-30, 17-22 away) finish the season series with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night at 6 p.m. MT.
