Nuggets Forward Timofey Mozgov Out 10-14 Days

Aaron Lopez is reporting that the MRI results for Denver Nuggets forward Timofey Mozgov are in and there looks to be some good news. The test showed no fractures in the left leg that Mozgov injured last night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The knee and ankle sprains that were sustained in a pretty ugly looking play are expected to keep him out between 10 days and 2 weeks. Andrew Feinstein of Denver Stiffs was happy to see Timofey finally see some minutes only to be disappointed when the injury took place:

...it was great to see Mozgov get some early playing time, only to have our collective hearts broken when he went down with a sprained knee and ankle injury near the end of the first quarter. Get well soon, Moz!!

The Nuggets, with five games remaining before the playoffs begin, are already playing without Chris Anderson and Aaron Affalo and have to take on the Dallas Mavericks and Thunder (again) over their next two games. This isn't the kind of news a team needs to hear entering the playoffs, but we can take solace in the fact that the injury wasn't any worse.
