According to CNBC's Darren Rovell, Monday's Thunder-Nuggets matchup has the cheapest average ticket prices among the three games on the schedule:
Avg ticket prices on @StubHub: SA-Memphis, Game 4 ($90), Portland-Dal, Game 5 ($82), OKC-Den, Game 4 ($69).
That's not that surprising.
Look at how the other two series are going right now. The Memphis Grizzlies hold a 2-1 lead in the series and coming off their first home playoff win ever. Add to it that they are a No. 8 seed currently leading a No. 1 seed, those tickets should be pricier than what one would normally expect.
And the Mavs-Trail Blazers contest? It's turned into a tight contest as the Blazers have won the last two games after dropping the first two. The Blazers' Brandon Roy has changed the face of this series.
But the Nuggets-Thunder game? Well, two road losses for the Nuggets didn't help things and then Game 3's loss don't provide for much excitement. Fans started to leave with about three minutes left to go in the game because the team was down by eight points. And then the Nuggets made a game out of it, though ultimately losing by three. There might not be much enthusiasm for the casual fan to want to go to Monday's game.
