Nuggets Vs. Heat: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade Too Much For Nuggets To Handle In 103-98 Loss

The Denver Nuggets were unable to find an answer for LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, as the Miami Heat defeated the Nuggets, 103-98. James and Wade each went over 30 points in the game, 33 and 32 respectively. Chris Bosh put in a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Nuggets were down by 10 points early until Arron Afflalo scored the team's first point on a free throw about four minutes into the game. By the second quarter, the Nuggets were back into the game, narrowing the Heat's lead to 47-45 with 2:45 left in the half. However, Miami had a 56-47 halftime lead. The outscored the Heat in each quarter during the second half, but with Miami making slightly over 50 percent of their shots on the night, the Nuggets still came up short.

J.R. Smith scored 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting (4-of-9 on threes); while Danilo Gallinari joined him with 23 points (11-of-12 from the free-throw line). Ty Lawson added 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. Also hurting them was Miami's 11 blocks (four by Joel Anthony and three by Wade to lead the way).

The Nuggets (41-29, 14-22 away) return to the Pepsi Center for a Monday game against the Toronto Raptors.
