Nuggets Vs. Hornets Final Score: Raymond Felton, Ty Lawson Add Double-Doubles, Defeat Hornets, 114-103

The Denver Nuggets picked up their eighth in 10 games following their 114-103 victory over the New Orleans Hornets. The Nuggets overcame and early 11-2 deficit in the first quarter with solid games from the starters and from the bench.

As a team, the Nuggets shot 53.3 percent from the field, which came about with help from the two point guards. Ty Lawson scored a team-high 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting and added 10 assists. Off the bench but playing 42 minutes, Raymond Felton finished with 22 points and 12 assists on 7-of-12 shooting (6-of-9 from beyond the arc).

J.R. Smith scored 15 of his 18 points on five three-pointers. Wilson Chandler, who played half the game with his last name misspelled on his jersey, also joined the trey barrage with four of his own. He finished the night with 21 points and seven rebounds. Nene and Kenyon Martin almost joined the double-double crowed. The former finished with nine points and 13 rebounds, while the latter scored 10 points, pulled down nine boards, dished the ball out for four assists and stole the ball four times.

Chris Paul scored 27 points, a game-high, distributed the ball for 10 assists and stole the ball seven times. Willie Green added 18 points off the bench.

The Nuggets (40-27) improved their road record to 13-20. They visit Atlanta for a Wednesday night game against the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. MT.
