NBA Power Rankings: Denver Nuggets Continue To Fall

The Denver Nuggets lost consecutive home games for the first since 2007 when they lost to the Utah Jazz last Friday and to the Houston Rockets on Monday. But that doesn't find its way into the latest SB Nation NBA Power Rankings, which went up to but not including Monday.

The Nuggets fell to No. 10 in the latest rankings, losing ground to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Tom Ziller notes that Anthony has increased his scoring average, but has had a terrible time shooting while doing it. As it turned out, on Monday night, Melo wound up scoring 50 points in the losing effort, shooting 16-of-24 (66.67 percent) from the field.

But, as always, the big story surrounding the Nuggets is what happens with Carmelo Anthony. Supposedly, the Nuggets are talking with the Los Angeles Lakers about a deal. At the same time, the Nuggets are talking with the New York Knicks and the Minnesota Timberwolves about a three-team deal that would decidedly favor the Knicks. We have two weeks to sort out this mess.
