Will seven months of trade speculation surrounding Carmelo Anthony come to an end tonight? According to a report from Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears, a trade between the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets for "Melo could happen tonight:

Melo is close to being dealt to Knicks, possibly tonight, a source tells Y! Sports.

Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post reported that Chauncey Billups left practice without speaking to the media. If the trade goes through, Billups and 'Melo will go to New York with throw-ins Renaldo Balkman and Shelden Williams. The Nuggets would receive Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler and the Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick. The Minnesota Wolves would also be involved in this trade by receiving Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry from the Knicks. The T'Wolves would then send Corey Brewer to the Nuggets.

[UPDATE] According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Timofey Mozgov may be included, but nothing is a done deal yet.

The Nuggets play their next game on Tuesday, Feb. 22 against the Memphis Grizzlies. While 'Melo said during the All-Star Game that he plans on being in a Nuggets uniform on Tuesday, it may no longer be the case.
