The Denver Nuggets signed rookies Kenneth Faried and Jordan Hamilton to contracts, the team announced on Friday. The terms of the two deals were not disclosed. Nuggets training camp is set to open on Friday evening.
Faried, the 22nd overall selection of the 2011 NBA draft, led all Division I players with 14.5 rebounds per game in 2010-11; throughout his career at Morehead State, he was one of the country's best rebounders at both the offensive and defensive ends.
Hamilton spent two seasons at the University of Texas before declaring for the NBA draft. He was selected 26th overall by Dallas before the Nuggets acquired him by way of a three-team trade. He averaged 18.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in his final season with the Longhorns.
