NBA Free Agency 2011: Former Colorado Guard Cory Higgins Invited To Nuggets Camp

Denver Post Nuggets beat writer Benjamin Hochman reported Thursday that former Colorado Buffaloes guard Cory Higgins has been invited to attend Nuggets camp:

Cory Higgins, a former U of Colorado standout, will be a training camp invitee, league source said

Higgins has been playing basketball in the NBA Development League with the Erie BayHawks, who selected him No. 7 overall in the 2011 NBADL draft back in early November. Higgins had a pre-draft workout with the Denver Nuggets in June and he is excited to have another shot with the organization:

"I'm excited," Cory Higgins said. "Just got to go in and work as hard as you can. That's the only thing you can control. Just go in and work as hard as you can and everything will work out."

Higgins is averaging 12.6 points per game in the D-League.
